There are even some pitfalls that look like bursitis when in fact its not. Also, iliopsoas bursitis can affect young athletes and old people, e.g., after hip replacement. The iliopsoas bursa is the largest bursa in the body. In 15% of cases, there can be communication between the bursa and the hip joint. ------------- I’m PD Dr. med.
