What a great way to start off the new year! This is definitely one of the better updates we have gotten, with some amazing new tracks and updates! Apologies if some of the tracks don't start with the custom music; forgot to change this setting when first recording lol Lunar Lights (8.5/10, 1.009, 30 mins) Minor bugfix update. No idea why the ghost was buffed by 5 secs esp considering you're nearly forced to do that annoying ass shroomless 3/3. Good luck. Bouldergeist's Ghostly Manor (8.25/10, .668, my ghost lol) 2:08 This track may look simple, but omg is it fun to drive. Theming is incredible, with the only part I dislike being the downhill carpet area near the end since it's super easy to get bounces on (and sometimes the sideways ramp, as that's my biggest reset point in tts). The ghost...well...it's me! :P It's quite challenging but nothing insane. The biggest timeloss is the "pacelock" at the wavy road start of l2. That being said, this track is gonna go through a minor hotfix and the new ghost is .1 faster, not to mention my pb is also .1 faster lol CTR N. Gin Labs (8/10, 1.238, 10 mins) 5:04 Update that adds a shroomcut (the main cut now) to make it less run-heavy and to get it unbanned in comp. I don't really care for it but it's decent enough? Ghost is pretty good. NOTE: the ghost in the vid is not the one in ctgp since I did this on the version prior to the ctgp version; the only difference is some super minor thing I can't even remember but it doesn't affect gameplay. (difficulty / time beaten by / time took to beat ghost) Sahara Hideout (8/10, 1.470, 1h30m) 7:57 Minor update that doesn't really change anything. Ghost is same difficulty; it only took me as long as it did because I wanted to get a clean run that beat it lol Cubing Conundrum (7.5/10, 1.203, 30m) 10:43 Holy hell, this track is absolutely insane in how it drives overall and with the level of depth it has in gameplay. Lots of strats with varying levels of risk and reward and admittedly this track is probably going to be the most polarizing of the new tracks. That being said I have found it to be a lot of fun both offline and online and I hope others do too. Ghost is a good challenge, honestly the perfect difficulty for this track. GBA Lakeside Park (7/10, .548, 20 mins) 13:55 Minor bugfix update, no idea why the ghost was also buffed by 5 seconds...oh wait it's the person that made the fungal jungle ghost... This run might also have some of the most consistent splits?! Forest Creek (7/10, .755, 5 mins) 16:45 This is how you do a track justice. I never liked the previous version, but this version has stunning visuals and is quite fun to play. Ghost isn't too bad and shows off 2 shroomer which is fine ig. Had a .0 on earlier version and def could 2:01 Sunrise Slopes (6.5/10, 1.668, 1 hr) 19:06 I really like this one too; has some fun driving but dislike the windy turn section (before the cave) since not hitting the offroad at the one part seems kinda rng. Ghost is moderately hard; the only reason it took me so long is because I played the track before the ghost was made and realized I was doing the wrong shroomstrat lol. Had 2:28 on older version, prolly can 2:27 GBA Peach Circuit (3.5/10, 2.087, 5 mins) 21:55 If cpfusion makes retros like this and GBA Snow Land, I think I'll start to have more faith in retros. This track is going to have a lot of strategy in terms of item play and overall decision-making which is what we need to see more of IMO. Ghost is pretty easy but well-driven for its combo. (I realize the bgm is a bit quiet I apologize) Mushlight's Reprise (3/10, 3.098, 5 mins) 23:44 Probably my least favorite of the new tracks, track is actually quite satisfying to drive outside of the ending section; also wish the mushroom theme was pushed more. Ghost is easy and also drives well for its combo. Had 1:58 on old version. Desert Castle Raceway (2/10, 4.266, 1 try) 26:03 Love this update, not just in terms of visuals but the few major gameplay changes are great. The beginning cut being high risk and spicing up races, removing the ending cannon, and a few other minor things that make the track fun to drive.
