Fun With Chemistry Demos

Fun with Chemistry is an outreach organization dedicated to inspiring and motivating K-12 students to develop an interest in and pursue careers in science fields. Originating at The University of Texas at Austin with Kate Biberdorf, Fun with Chemistry began a collaboration with Rice University through Professor László Kürti in 2017 in order to expand the range of impact. Chemistry graduate students Nicole Behnke, Kaitlyn Lovato and Katie Miller organize and operate the Rice University chapter, travelling to schools in the greater Houston area and participating in community outreach events. They perform exciting demonstration shows to help get student interested in science, inspire young girls to grow their passion for science and show K-12 students that science can be fun.
