This year, NEA’s Read Across America is celebrating a nation of diverse readers by combining story, sound and song. NEA is teaming up with author and poet, Kwame Alexander, and recognizing the 10th anniversary of his groundbreaking book, The Crossover, winning the Newbery Medal. This engaging fusion of literature and music gives students in grades 5 – 12 an opportunity to feel the rhythm and the beat of twin brothers navigating love, loyalty, and family on and off the basketball court in a whole new way!
