Two Days in Szeged and Beyond We spent two memorable days in Szeged, Hungary—a city rich in history and charm. Despite the rain, we embraced the experience, exploring its beautiful streets and visiting the Móra Ferenc Museum, which offered a fascinating glimpse into the region’s culture. Tibor’s cousin added a warm, personal touch to our visit, taking us out for both dinner and lunch. We also finally managed to buy Tibor a new phone, which felt like a little win amid the bustle. However, not everything went smoothly. While casually filming a video, a man near the entrance reacted aggressively after appearing in the frame. He demanded I delete it and was clearly upset. I stayed calm and apologized, choosing not to argue. Later on, after Hungarian and Serbian border guards boarded the train, we saw him being escorted off. A strange turn of events—but a reminder to stay aware of surroundings and to always keep composure. What unsettled me more was wondering if Tibor would’ve stood up for me. He stood silently during the incident, just watching. It left me with some mixed feelings. The next day, we traveled onward—catching a train to Subotica, Serbia, then a bus to Belgrade, where Tibor’s friend met us and drove us to Debeljača. We were greeted with such a warm and heartfelt welcome—it helped ease the tension from earlier, reminding me of the kindness and hospitality still out there.
