Paddling and Climbing Our Way Around Alesund, Norway | Cruise Vlog

We ported in Alesund today for a day of adventure. We are here all day and we have a lot planned. First a wonderful kayak ride through some of the channels of Alesund. A brief history lesson tells us that in the 1800s most of the city was destroyed by fire and was rebuilt by some German architects which is why the city has the art nouveau look. We then had a wonderful Norwegian lunch and explored some more before tackling our next adventure. Climbing to the top of the lookout for the iconic view of the city. We were sure if we could do it but by pacing ourselves and being motivated by the views be persisted. I loved this city. It was so friendly and inviting.
