If you are upgrading your fuel pump above a stock pump, you will need to complete this mod in order to avoid burning out your ecu like me. Quick note: in the last diagram at the end, the positive wire for the pump (if done before burnt ecu) says it goes to relay 5 but it is actually used as the signal wire in relay two and the new cable run from the battery is relay 5. The first diagram is 100% correct though so if you have any doubts follow that one.
