The Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone (Clark) in Pampanga, Philippines, was a U.S. military base converted into a civilian mixed-use area in the 1990s. Clark includes Clark Freeport, Clark Global City, and New Clark City, spanning parts of Angeles, Mabalacat, Porac in Pampanga, and Capas and Bamban in Tarlac. Clark is divided into the Clark Freeport Zone (CFZ) and the Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ), with New Clark City part of the latter. The CFZ includes the former Clark Air Base, now largely Clark International Airport, with some areas still under Philippine Air Force control. Clark is a hub for business, industry, aviation, education, tourism, leisure, fitness, entertainment, and gaming in Central Luzon. Covering 30 square kilometers, nearly the size of Singapore, Clark is a strategic entry point for the Asia Pacific region. It has its own airport, Clark International Airport, and is easily accessible from Metro Manila via the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX).
