In the fall of 2020 I participated in a course on Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology at the University of Victoria. This is the presentation I submitted with Curtis Kneip as a partial requirement for completing the course. The most important reference used being Carr, Feigenson, and Bennet’s 1990 paper titled “Incompatible element and isotopic evidence for tectonic control of source mixing and melt extraction along the Central American arc,” which is a good preamble to read for further detail on the methods used to create some of the graphs in this video (link below).
