A 1700s cellar hole that has not been metal detected before is a rare thing these days in these parts of NH. I have spent a couple of weeks hiking and exploring this place and knew there had to be a deserted home site with all the rock walls and land we have been searching. Well today I found the root cellar that would have been under the house and within minutes I was locking on to signals with my Fisher F19. The places was loaded with relics from the 1700s and all kinds of buttons . This old farm site most likely was abandoned in the early 1800s as so many of them were in New England but they left behind miles of stone walls showing us were they lived. You know within minutes metal detecting old places like this if it has not been touched and this one was not. An exciting day being the first person to metal detect this old place.
