One of the most popular arcade beat-em-ups of all time, and I still hadn't 1CC'ed it yet?? Truth be told I'm not a huge fan of how this game plays, and past attempts to sit down and try to learn the 1CC didn't go so well. But at last it is done, and... maybe I like the game a LITTLE bit more now? Donatello is used because he has the best reach, therefore he's the best character in the game. This game has vicious survival-based rank, the longer you survive on one life the higher the rank will go up, which means having to deal with larger groups of enemies, and bosses having more health. The hardest thing in the game on max rank is the Bebop/Rocksteady fight at the end of Scene 2. After attempting to practice the fight on max rank, I decided there was no way I was going to be able to do it consistently, so instead I opt to sacrifice one of my two total lives immediately before the fight. This means the rest of the game has to be done on 1 life, and by the time you hit the Technodrome the rank has hit max again. I had several attempts die at the beginning of the Technodrome. Fun! No, this game has no extends. You're probably thinking of the NES port having extends every 200 points, which was done to make the game more doable for a home market. It is nowhere near a perfect arcade port in the first place.
