How to say “I miss you” in French? It’s quite… different than in English and other non-Latin languages. First of all, you have to invert the structure of your sentence: the object of your nostalgia has to be placed before you. It’s because French people use the verb “manquer” (to lack, to miss) and logically if someone is not here (is missing) you miss this person.
