Recorded live in one take. _________________________ Ahmedabad-based Compass Box Studio joined hands with the homegrown music distribution company OK Listen with an aim to identify and extend support to up-and-coming singer-songwriters from all over India! The online contest took place in June-July 2020, where over 300 musicians sent in applications of their original compositions. The jury made up of Raag Sethi, Vijay Basrur, in addition to accomplished singer-songwriters Maalavika Manoj aka Mali and Nikhil D'Souza selected three winners: Tabitha Kagoo, Anoushka Maskey & Sheil Sagar. Tabitha Kagoo is a Chennai-based singer-songwriter. She draws inspiration from gospel and folk music, and from artists like Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver, Adrianne Lenker, and Lisa Hannigan. She is one half of the singer-songwriter duo Tabby and Sanjai. Her songwriting is driven by a need to express herself in an honest way. She wishes to create spaces for listeners to connect with themselves as well as each other.
