In this overnight camp I set up on a ridge where wind gusts pushed well over 40 mph. Spindrift snow ripped across the landscape and the tent was fully exposed to the elements most of the night. Instead of a lab-style test, this video simply documents what actually happened during the camp — the sounds, the movement of the tent, and what it’s like to spend a night in a shelter while the wind never really lets up. The Vern 1 PC is a polycotton single-wall tent, which raises a lot of questions about condensation, durability, and how it handles real weather. This night turned out to be a perfect opportunity to see how it performs when the wind is relentless. This wasn’t a controlled test — just a real camp in harsh weather. Sometimes the most peaceful camps happen in the worst conditions… as long as you trust your shelter.
