For this rockscape construction project we were working on an existing water feature doing some rehab work on some decorative boulders and columns. Recent trends in landscape design and rockscape design have been incorporating decorative concrete into not just rockscape construction but also poolscapes, hardscapes and other landscape construction projects. For this concrete construction project, we used a volumetric mixer to deliver the mix. We handled the concrete pumping with a concrete boom truck to deliver the material to a 3/8 Special Concrete Pump located across a pond. The 3/8 Special Concrete Grout Pump was then used to spray the material on to the actual structure completing this rockscape construction project. The 3/8 Special Concrete Grout Pump is designed to work perfectly with Ready Mix Concrete, Extended Pour and Form Repair Materials, Shotcrete, High Volume Slurry and Masonry Block Fill. The 3/8 Special Concrete Pump is built to be rugged, robust and reliable and is available in a small trailer mounted model as well as a skid mounted unit. The 3/8 Special Concrete Pump can be charged with Ready Mix trucks or batch mixers and continuous mixers and operates on a gas over hydraulic variable drive system. The unit can achieve discharge outputs of more than 12 yards an hour with Ready Mix and 25 yards an hour with slurry and screeds. It has an 8 cubic foot hopper with a 4-inch heavy duty clamp discharge to easily handle 3/8” aggregate pumpable mix designs. The 3/8 Special Concrete Pump is capable of concrete pumping distances in excess of 200 feet horizontal and 80 feet vertical.
