Traditional Song from Vanuatu. Title pronounced "Eye-lan D-ress". The language is Bislama, Vanuatu’s “Pidgen English”. Thank you to Rosie Weqas who taught this song to our conductor during a visit to Luganville, on the island of Espiritu Santo. It sings about the colourful “island” dresses with bright floral prints, which have become everyday attire for the women of Vanuatu.
