But, it’s exterior appearance is clean and simple. It’s internal design is also pretty good overall, I just really hate the power button and LEDs being attached to the front panel. Build Quality – 9 I don’t have any serious complaints. I have some minor concerns over the durability of some of the cables. But the system is overall built well and has yet to experience a reliability issue. Desirability – 3 These models still don’t sell for much on the second hand market. Probably it’s best quality is being business class. Also the AMD APU is a pretty obvious drawback. Hardware Components – 6 The components are fine for the machine’s original purpose. But they aren’t special. However there was a lot of customizability to the configuration when it was new and there is still upgrade potential today. OS Setup & Bloatware – 5 A little hard to judge since I don’t have the exact install from 2016. But I have a nearly identical Windows 10 install from Lenovo. While it doesn’t ship with much, it has McAfee preloaded and other Lenovo services that are running in the background and have occasional popups. For actual use, it would be better to have a clean install. Performance – 5 It’s just not great. This was never meant for demanding tasks and it shows. Peripherals – N/A Pretty hard to judge when I don’t have them. There were other keyboard and mouse as well as monitor options which would’ve worked but would’ve been nothing special. The built in speaker isn’t great, but it’s better than nothing. Ports & Other Features – 9 Other than the lack of USB 3.0 on the front panel, the IO is great. Built-in wireless and bluetooth are also nice to have. Size & Dimensions – 7 For a small form factor PC, it’s pretty big. But it also fits standard size components including the motherboard which I would rather have. Thermals & Noise – 7 The thermals are fine, but I think they could be better. The inclusion of a case fan on the front definitely helps. Noise is also acceptable though it can be a little inconsistent. Final Score: 58 This PC definitely has some strong qualities, but it’s hardware is definitely dated. However, it’s still a usable PC that (for the most part) can be acquired for cheap; it’s hard to beat that.
