The idea of RawfedK9 started after spending several years training working dogs and spending a lot of time rehabilitating rescue dogs for a local Minnesota rescue. After spending a lot of time with a variety of different dogs, I was able to see how their diet was really affecting them physically, mentally, there was a lot of issues that I ran across from skin to GI. I did a lot of research starting at that point on what was the most appropriate diet for my dogs. I landed on a prey model raw diet. So I kind of began sourcing ingredients on my own mixing grinding everything that you would expect when you first start doing the whole DIY process for your raw diet. I really struggled, I was feeding five to seven dogs that were ranging from 100 to 120 pounds apiece and this just became really difficult to store as well as measure and make sure that they were getting everything that they needed. At that time, I had met some industry experts that really helped me out and were able to just give me an idea on how these products could be made a little bit differently using better ingredients, sourcing from really reliable suppliers, and then they were able to introduce me to you know grinding, mixing, and making everything in bulk. And that's really where the idea of RawfedK9 started and from there it just sort of took off we wanted to be able to offer products that were really affordable, we wanted to make it easy to get, and we wanted to offer a really big variety because my whole belief on this is that every dog is an individual and they require different things. The prey model raw diet really is the foundation, but every one of them is going to require different things and we really want to be able to offer that to our clients.
