Green Chana Masala, also known as Hara Chana Masala, is a hearty and nutritious Indian curry made with fresh or dried green chickpeas cooked in a spicy onion-tomato gravy. Packed with protein, fiber, and bold desi flavors, this dish is perfect for everyday meals and special occasions alike. • 2 medium tomatoes (pureed) • 2 tbsp oil • 1 tsp cumin seeds • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste • 2 green chilies (slit) • ½ tsp turmeric powder • 1 tsp red chili powder • 1½ tsp coriander powder • 1 tsp garam masala • ½ tsp cumin powder • Salt to taste • 1 cup water (adjust as needed) • Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish) ⸻ 👩🍳 How to Make Green Chana Masala – Step by Step 1. Prepare the Chana Wash and soak dried green chana overnight. Pressure cook with salt and water for 3–4 whistles until soft. If using fresh green chana, cook until tender. 2. Make the Masala Base Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. 3. Add Aromatics Stir in ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant. 4. Tomato & Spices Add tomato puree, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Cook until oil separates from the masala. 5. Add Green Chana Add the cooked green chana and mix well so they coat with the masala. 6. Simmer Add water as required and let it simmer for 8–10 minutes on medium heat. 7.
