My wife and I, Elder and Sister West, were full-time Senior Couple missionaries in the South Africa Cape Town Mission serving in the city of George, when we were told at 11pm on March 23 to pack up and get to Johannesburg Airport the next morning to catch the last flight to the US before the borders closed. We were fortunate to be part of this large group of valiant missionaries being sent home early. I took the video with my iPhone 10XS Max on an Ethiopian Airlines, Church chartered flight from Johannesburg, South Africa, to Salt Lake City. The flight stopped once in Accra, Ghana, to refuel for one hour. We departed Johannesburg on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at 9:00 pm. The total flight time was 22 hours, with 309 passengers, all were Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints missionaries. There were 3 cabins on our Boeing 777; 1 Business Class and 2 Economy cabins. Most of the Senior Missionaries got to sit in Business Class. I only videoed the 2 Economy cabins. Elder Burk, Senior Couple Missionary from South Africa Cape Town Mission, had the idea for all the missionaries to sing to the flight crew for the great service they had rendered.
