Collecting: The gathering of data and the entry of data in to an information system. Organising: The arrangement of data once it has been entered in to an information system. Analysing: The Manipulation of data within an information system, reinterpreting it to give more meaning. Storing & Retrieving: The writing (storing) of data to a memory location within an Information System / obtaining (retrieving) the same data at a later time for further use. Processing: The mechanical transformation of data using the system’s processors. Transmitting & Receiving: The sending (transmitting) and acquisition (receiving) of Data Within and Between Information Systems & devices. Displaying: How information is output and presented by the information system.
