Here's another binaural video I recorded last April during the marvellous Mugello Classic racing weekend by Peter Auto. Like Misano, Mugello is another cool place to feel the surround effect recorded by binaural microphones. In fact if you're authorized to stay track-side you can move from one point to another of the circuit by using two different service roads: one that winds all around the outside of the track and one that allows you to stay inside of it, covering from turn 7 to 15. And this is very nice because you can have spots like the one at 25 minutes where you're looking the exit of the last corner but at the same time some cars are passing behind you at turns 8-9. Please remember no one is forcing you to watch for its entire length, especially when it comes to my binaural audio ones, which are all primarly for background listening. For those new to these kind of videos, I only use static scenes (with the gear mounted on a tripod or directly in my hands) in order to better highlight the 3D/surround effect of this unique stereo recording. If you want to actually see the cars in action, there are other 2,000 videos on my channel done in this way. Enjoy it! -- What the hell is a 3D/Binaural recording? -- Binaural recordings are reproductions of sound the way human ears hear it. Traditionally, recordings have been made using mono or stereo. Mono uses a single microphone while stereo uses two, spaced apart from each other. Binaural recording takes the stereo method one step further by placing two microphones approximately at the same average distance that exists between one and the other human ear. To recreate the best effect you must put the microphones in your ears or by using a "dummy head" (wherein a mannequin head is outfitted with a microphone in each ear) because having a real head or a head shape that separates the two microphones is what makes the magic works. In fact if a car passes on your left side the sound will take a few extra microseconds to reach the right ear and it will also be louder in one ear (left) than the other. This is caused by the fact we have a thick skull and spongy brain between the two ears and sound waves interact with the physical constitution of the listener and the surrounding space. Instead of following the cars like I'm used to do with my 'standard', stereo videos, keeping the microphone static (and so the camera) the surround and depth effect typical of the binaural recordings is enanched. -- --- --- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- 0:00 Intro 0:14 Turn 12, Looking T13-14 1:56 Entry Turn 15, Outside 3:19 Turn 15, Inside 5:49 Exit Turn 1, Looking T2 6:44 Entry Turn 2, Looking Exit T1 8:58 Looking Turn 3 10:15 Exit Turn 3 12:36 Exit Turn 9 14:17 Exit Turn 9 from T10 Braking Zone 15:10 Turns 10-11, Outside 17:07 Turns 10-11, Inside 18:37 Turns 13-14 20:24 Exit Turn 14 22:24 Braking Zone Turn 15 23:15 Entry Turn 15, Inside 24:48 Main Straight from T15, Inside 26:58 Exit Turn 15, Outside 29:46 Turn 1 32:11 Exit Turn 3 34:51 Braking Zone Turn 1 #BinauralAudio #ASMR #3DAudio ------------------------------------------------------ -- Subscribe to my 2nd channel here: / @19bozzy92ndchannel You can also find and follow me on: Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/19bozzy92/ Facebook: / 19bozzy92yt Instagram: / ste19bozzy92 Camcorder: 3Dio Free Space Binaural Microphone + Zoom H5 Portable Recorder & Canon Legria HF G40 Event: Mugello Classic 2023 Where: Mugello Circuit, Italy Link To My Channel: / 19bozzy92 THANKS FOR WATCHING AND SUBSCRIBE!!!
