This was supposed to be my “week in the life of a potter”… but burnout, imposter syndrome, and real life had other plans. What started as a simple vlog turned into a week of exhaustion, unexpected setbacks, and honestly—God reminding me to slow down and reset. If you’re a creative, a small business owner, or someone trying to balance passion and pressure… this one’s for you. In today’s video, I take you through a real week as a ceramic artist and pottery studio owner in San Diego. From prepping for holiday markets, teaching classes, and running my small handmade business… to hitting a wall of burnout I didn’t see coming. Sales slowed down, a studio move fell through, and even though I asked for help and tried to rest, I kept feeling like I was running out of time and running out of options. This was the moment I knew I needed to run to God. If you’re in a season of uncertainty or burnout, I hope this video reminds you that you’re not alone. It’s okay to pause. It’s okay to rest. Thank you for being here and supporting this journey. Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share this with a fellow creative who might need a reminder to breathe. If you’ve been wanting to start pottery or just need a space to slow down, I’ll leave links below for classes and open studio sessions.
