While millions of tonnes of grain sit stuck in silos, countries dependent on these supplies have been left in a desperate situation. Starvation and malnutrition threaten the lives of tens of millions in places like Yemen and the Horn of Africa. Supply shortages have worsened the humanitarian crises.
