Like Leijiverse on Facebook! / leijiverse After finding success with "Ninja High School," an "Amerimanga" parodying the tropes of Japanese comics and animation that has been running since 1987, Ben Dunn was recruited by publisher Eternity Comics in 1989 as an ideal candidate to illustrate a reinterpretation of Leiji Matsumto's most internationally recognizable character, Space Pirate Captain Harlock, for American audiences. Little did anyone know that this well-intentioned Leijiverse gospelizing was an ongoing pirate operation ultimately ending with a cease-and-desist landing at the feet of Malibu Comics, the owners/employers of this unwitting group of accidental privateers. Join Cpt. Hardluck as he sets off on a line of inquiry with Ben Dunn, himself, intended to bring further light to this innocently shady operation, as well as discuss the creation of this loving homage to everyone's favorite space outlaw/defender of Earth. At the end of the interview, Ben will take some time to answer questions from our live audience! Make sure you're following Cpt.
