IGBA UCHE or OTAOMU is an Age Grade Traditional Retirement celebration in Abia State especially in Ohafia, Bende and Arochukwu LGAs. This Retirement celebration is one of the ways by which various Villages and Communities experience development in so many ways. It's fascinating to see the intersection of culture, community, and tourism development highlighted through the Igba Uche festival in Ohafia. Cultural festivals often serve as important vehicles for preserving traditions, fostering community cohesion, and attracting tourists, yet their specific contributions to tourism development aren't always thoroughly explored. The celebration is a public show that the particular age grade has retired from Community Service and any form of Levies in the Village. They may attend functions and lunch but not to partake in any active service. To mark the end of this celebration, the age grade will donate a project to the Community.
