The Panasonic CCV753 two-stage rotary compressor is designed for transcritical CO2 applications. Its 11,5mm thick housing is designed for a medium service pressure up to 80 bar. The rotor is mounted on the compressor shaft and has two pairs of poles with four permanent magnets. The stator is securely mounted in the housing with 8 coils for a speed of 3600 rpm at 120Hz. The second stage of the compressor has an upper discharge valve insulated by a thick 140 bar cylinder head. The high pressure CO2 is discharged outside the compressor via a port on the HP cylinder head. A spring-loaded vane isolates the suction from the discharge, the rolling piston is rotated by the eccentric on the compressor shaft. The second compression stage has a displacement of 14,5cm3 or 3,1m3/h. The first stage is located in the lower part of the compressor, its suction is in direct communication with the low pressure piping. The discharge valve is orientated towards the bottom of the crankcase, the compressor shell acts as an intermediate oil separator. A propeller is placed inside the shaft, immersed in the oil and used to pump and lubricate the moving parts through channels leading to injection ports. The displacement of the first stage is 20.8cm3, therefore a swept volume of 4.5m3/h. So the two stages of the compressor have a compression ratio of 1.4. The bore is identical, it is the thickness of the rolling piston that modifies the displacement between the two stages. Thank you for watching fell free to like and share this video.
