[JGSDF vs Marines] Battle Training Apparatus. Iron Fist 2024.

Iron Fist 2024. The Japan Ground Self-Defence Force Amphibious Task Force conducted joint Japan-US exercises with the US Marine Corps from February to March 2024 in an effort to improve amphibious operations. The exercise is a joint exercise that has been conducted annually since FY2005, with previous exercises held at bases in California, USA. However, from FY2022, the training area has been changed to the Nansha Islands area, and the exercise has been transformed into one that is more geared towards the defence of Japan's remote islands. In addition to the Marines and the Seaplane Group, training units include the 1st Helicopter Wing, Western Area Air Command, Minesweepers Group and the US Navy's 7th Fleet. It appears that several Japan-US counter-encounter exercises using battlers (laser beam devices) were also conducted.
