Caunter as an actual camo scheme doesn't work terribly well; long, straight lines in the desert serve to actually highlight the unnatural angles of an armoured vehicle rather than disguising them or making them harder to target, and it didn't last long in service. It was also a pain to have to apply in the field, since doctrine demanded it followed very strict pattern guides!
