Myself, Doug, Nibbler, and Leroy got access to detect our oldest house this year! This 1685 stone mansion is on the historical registry and is one of the oldest houses in the entire state. It is privately owned and the homeowner was one of the most gracious people we've met. Not only did he grant us access to the entire 10+ acre estate, but he also gave us a full tour of the inside of the mansion as well; including a secret underground railroad tunnel that ran from the basement to a hidden door out in the yard. Once we got started within 1/2 hour I dug an amazing old coin and the cool finds just kept coming all day! Since this was the first time it's ever been detected, we were cherry picking and maybe covered 5% of the property, so a few return trips are inevitable!
