Today it’s just me and the animals as we tackle the morning farm chores while Brooke rests and tries to get over a cold. The farm never stops, so that means feeding animals, collecting eggs, checking fences, putting out hay for the cows, and making sure everyone on the farm is taken care of. If you enjoy peaceful farm life and slower paced videos, this is a simple morning on the farm where we take things one chore at a time. Many folks tell us they enjoy the calming, relaxing style of our videos, and we hope this gives you a few minutes to slow down, enjoy the animals, and escape the busyness of everyday life. Come along for a quiet morning farm routine as we visit the pigs, cows, goats, chickens, geese, and horses around the farm. We’ll also collect fresh eggs from the coop, talk about why we keep our farm eggs cooled in a cooler at the farm stand, and take a look at how using old hay can help prevent erosion and washouts on the farm roads. We also check on the garden and see how the calendula flowers are producing this year, which we harvest to make our homemade soaps, lotions, and salves. Spring is right around the corner here in Alabama, and that means greener pastures, animals shedding their winter coats, and the garden season getting closer every day.
