Let's tackle the new island in the game, kicking off with a double battle against Flint and Volkner. If you have a strong Ground type, this should be an easy battle, as all six Pokemon are weak to it. After that is done, you can also finally get the Super Rod here. Flint uses his Houndoom (Lv 56), Flareon (Lv 56) and Magmortar (Lv 58) while Volkner uses Luxray (Lv 56), Jolteon (Lv 56) and Electivire (Lv 58). The movesets are generally the same as they were before, so the strategy doesn't differ much. While Ground type moves work best, do watch out for the likes of Luxray (who has Ice Fang) and Magmortar (who has Solar Beam) as they can hurt a Ground type badly. Don't let Houndoom set up Sunny Day either, as that will make Magmortar even more annoying to deal with. If you're using a Rock/Ground type then Electivire might be troublesome thanks to Brick Break. I won't be covering the battle facilities.
