Fort Point is an iconic surf spot that breaks beneath the Golden Gate Bridge. I've crossed that bridge so many times without knowing of all the activity going on 200+ feet below. It's often called a novelty wave but the surf here can be quite powerful when the conditions are right. Between the rip currents, rocky boulders, and other dangers it's an amazing place for watching but experts only in the water. Do some research if you decide to try surfing here, it's known to be a "localized" spot. Locals have surfed these waters for over 40 years, since the 70s, so here's some surf friendly psychedelic tunes to take you back.
