7 Reasons AC Odyssey Fate Of Atlantis Is The Best Odyssey DLC Yet

AC Odyssey ups its DLC game with Fate of Atlantis, whisking us to the Fields of Elysium in this first episode. As we hoped from Assassin’s Creed Atlantis it’s a fantastical quest, filled with gods, a demonic horse, mechanical warriors and a magic bull missile. We liked it and think you will like it too. We’ve not done a written Assassin’s Creed Atlantis review, so hopefully these impressions will tell you what you need to know. We’ve got a whole new area - the Fields of Elysium - to explore, as we team up with Adonis to bring down Persephone (with Hermes and Hekate supporting from the sidelines). She’s got an army of Isu warriors however, so don’t expect it to be a pushover. If this was a formal Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Fate of Atlantis review we’d give the setting and enemies a big thumbs up, as it’s a nice change of pace after 100 hours of the same old, same old in the main campaign. AC Odyssey Fields of Elysium is not just a break from that endless battle, but a nice continuation of some its story, explaining more about the staff of Hermes and helping explain more mystical elements from the end of the main game. AC Odyssey Fate Of Atlantis also avoids many of the mistakes of the previous Assassin’s Creed DLC - the not very good Legacy of the First Blade - by giving us a better selection of enhanced abilities and a whole new map to explore, rather than expecting us to clear out well trodden ground for a second time. It’s also quite fun to hang out with the gods - feels like you’re playing with a celebrity cast. AC Odyssey Atlantis DLC may not break the mould in terms of mission design, but it feels unusual just due to the wild landscape. Fate of Atlantis Assassins Creed is about ten hours long, which is roughly the length of the three whole episodes of Legacy - this is something you can get your teeth into.
