Ciclovia Francigena Aosta - Piacenza

Impression of our bicycle tour at the "Ciclovia Francigena" in the north of Italy. It's a medieval route from Canterbury / London to Rome. Nowadays it's a pilgrimroute, also for bicycles. In seven days (25 june - 2 july 2017) we cycled the traject from Aosta to Piacenza, that's about 360 kms. From the mountains we cycled through the Aosta valley along the river Po, via ancient cities, wineyards, immense rice fields and many canals to Piacenza. We met other cyclists and saw more wanderers on this part of the route. For navigation on this route we used the many signs along the road and the app of Sloways.
