OldBenz Merch https://oldbenz.creator-spring.com/ The Mercedes 190 W110 debuted in April 1961, receiving many elements of the larger W111 model. Both cars were called winged cars, distinguished by their conservatively designed body lines, with clearly marked fins on the rear fenders. These are influences of American design, which was attempted to be transferred in a somewhat more modest form to Europe. They served a decorative function, but also made parking easier by clearly marking the place to which we could back out. Instead of six-cylinder engines (which were fitted in the W111), the W110 offered less than 2-litre four-cylinders, in a choice of petrol or diesel versions. The body featured a previously unknown level of passive safety and was the first to have engineered crumple zones. Durability, reliability and driving comfort for a long time became the hallmark of these cars. This Mercedes 190c is a gasoline version, just before the 200 replaced the 190. The car already has disc brakes at the front (introduced in 1963) and a left mirror located at the door (previously it was on the fender).
