कार्यकाल खत्म होने से पहले District Development Council की हुई अंतिम बैठक DDC Reasi Chairman Reviews District Capex Plan 2025-26; Calls for Timely Work and Transparency Reasi: Chairman of the District Development Council (DDC) Reasi, Saraf Singh Nag, chaired a detailed review meeting to check the physical and financial progress under the District Capex Plan 2025-26. The meeting focused on sector-wise priorities and proper use of funds to ensure balanced and inclusive development across the district. Stress was laid on improving basic infrastructure, better public facilities and speeding up development works in both rural and urban areas. Chief Planning Officer Narinder Kumar informed the Chair about the progress so far, including fund usage, status of works, tender process and new block-wise projects proposed under the Capex Plan. Officers from different departments gave updates on important sectors such as roads, water supply, health, education, electricity and rural development. Discussions were held to align the Capex Plan with public needs and government development goals. During the meeting, DDC Members raised several concerns including repair of canals, installation of solar lights, repair and improvement of the Devi Pindi track for smooth movement of devotees, construction of stadiums for youth in Pouni and Ransoo areas and release of pending PMGSY compensation. Concerned departments said the works would start once funds are received. DDC Member Aijaz Ahmad Khan called for early start of the proposed wind power project in the district to promote renewable energy and sustainable development. He also raised the issue of installing electric poles in areas where smart meters have already been installed and urged quick action to avoid inconvenience to residents. Addressing the meeting, the DDC Chairman stressed transparency, timely completion of works and coordination among departments to ensure better development results. He directed all departments to ensure projects are need-based, result-oriented and completed within the set timeline. He also stressed special attention to remote and underdeveloped areas for balanced development. Regular monitoring and coordination among departments were also highlighted for smooth implementation of projects. Later, the DDC Chairman and all DDC Members thanked the District Administration Reasi for its continued support, coordination and dedicated efforts toward overall development of the district during the five-year tenure of the Council. Among others present were MLA Katra Baldev Raj Sharma, Vice Chairperson Sajra Qadir, CEO District Development Council, ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, PO POSHAN Sudershan Kumar, CEO Reasi, ACD Reasi, BDOs and other senior officers.
