Sword Valley runs along the main road between Göreme and Cavusin. A hiking path starts above Göreme Open-Air Museum and it takes 1.5 hour to climb down the gorge. At the entrance to the canyon, a small apple tree invited us to taste its very sweet and aromatic apples, as like a spell would lead us into the canyon ! A few more steps, and beautiful amber grapes on the vine, quenched our thirst ! The canyon has steeper parts, but it is a splendor that fully rewards your efforts !!! Once you leave the canyon, you will find beautiful old carved churches and dwellings to explore, among the fairy chimneys, in an amazing landscape !
