The Forward Tilt Ported Barrel mouthpiece is a very unique Myler design. The mouthpiece is a solid, mullen (arched) design, with a small port in the center that is tilted forward at a 45 degree angle. This mouthpiece offers tongue relief from the port, and the solidity makes sure there is no pinching, collapse, or nutcracker effect. The low port is great for horses with a low palate. The bit offers tongue relief when the horse is relaxed or no pressure on the reins, but then rolls onto the tongue when pressure is applied. This offers a very clear signal to the horse for stopping aids, without pinching the tongue or lips and no nutcracker effect.
