The DCJ Success Stories is a series of compelling video stories demonstrating the power of collaboration and the transformative impact of the Colorado Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ)-funded initiatives. These human-centered stories highlight the critical role grant funding plays in fostering safer, healthier, and more connected communities across Colorado. The DCJ is committed to ensuring survivors of crime receive the support and resources they need. DCJ's victims programs team, also known to stakeholders and community partners as OVP, is dedicated to helping sustain critical services for victims of crime. The Office for Victims Programs (OVP) administers funding to organizations that provide direct services to crime victims across Colorado. OVP ensures that survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crimes have access to emergency shelter, legal assistance, crisis counseling, and advocacy services. By partnering with local and statewide organizations, OVP helps build a stronger, more responsive support network for those in need. This story highlights the Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking (LCHT), a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending human trafficking in Colorado. As a recipient of DCJ's Victim of Crime Act Fund, also known as VOCA, the grant funds Colorado's only Human Trafficking Hotline ( 66-455-5075 or Text 720-999-9724 ), managed by LCHT.
