BREAKING THROUGH (1981) Continuing their recording career Socrates released in 1981 the «Breaking through», with the same record company and member composition, except that George Zikogiannis left and the bass guitar came back in the hands of Anthony Tourkogiorgis. This contained eight significant tracks. The difference from the previous album was the addition of an homonymous orchestral track, which unlike orchestral songs of the past, lacked any traditional Greek elements. Moreover, the album is one of the most complete recordings of the band, with an amazing sense of groove and a unique combination of the incredible riffs of Spathas and the incomprehensibly intelligent playing of drums by Nikos Antypas.
