►►► In this presentation delivered at Hamburg International Arbitration Day 2019 (HIAD19), Ambrož Arko explains the evolution of dispute resolution in the blockchain environment and analyses the key legal challenges regarding arbitration agreements, procedure, arbitration awards and enforcement. ◄◄◄ ++++++ Ambrož Arko, MLB (Bucerius) is the founder of the research project on blockchain, Tribunalis, and an attorney at Novak Law advising in the field of corporate and commercial law. Her started his career path as an Attorney Trainee at the law firm Wolf Theiss and afterwards worked in venture capital firms in Berlin and Vienna. In 2014 Ambrož Arko earned an MLB (Master of Law and Business) at the Bucerius Law School (Hamburg) and WHU School of Management (Vallendar). ++++++ 9 April 2019, Helmut Schmidt Auditorium, Bucerius Law School, Hamburg ++++++ The Hamburg International Arbitration Day is an annual conference – hosted by the Center for International Dispute Resolution at Bucerius Law School. ++++++ The Center for International Dispute Resolution (CIDR) at Bucerius Law School is intended to provide an institutional framework and a forum to explore, discuss and develop issues arising in connection with the resolution of disputes having an international/transnational element. The founders and directors of the CIDR, Prof. Stefan Kröll and Prof. Karsten Thorn, are well known experts in the field of dispute resolution and frequent speakers at national and international conferences. The CIDR shall sharpen the profile of Bucerius Law School in the field of international dispute resolution and enhance its national and international visibility as one of the leading teaching and research institutions. It pools the existing resources at Bucerius and aims at intensifying the exchange between academia and practice in international dispute resolution.
