The rudder finishes out the entire tail section, as far as flight and control surfaces go. Mounting the rudder to the the tail of the aircraft was easy compared to linking the controls, which had me climbing through the tail of the aircraft, and crammed, once again, down on the floor boards. I "take a break" to install the aileron trim servo motor and get it hooked up. Once again I deal with the tight spaces of the airplane, and the frustrating working conditions they create. But, by the end here, I've got two additional elements of the aircraft finished and we're that much closer to flight--which, by the way, is still a long way off! Video about tape: • 3M VHB tape ------------ I'm Ryan, an aviation enthusiast who has decided to build his own aircraft and publish the entire process online for others to watch along. If you have ever want to build an airplane, this is a great glimpse at what it takes. The airplane is a two-person experimental kit built aluminum plane capable of over 200 miles per hour, and a range of over 700 miles. The kit is manufactured by Van's Aircraft one of the most prolific kit aircraft providers in the world. The airplane is aerobatic, functional, and fun. The build is challenging, time consuming, fun and rewarding. Check out my instagram @ryanflyspdx Also check out my website, ryanflys.com, I'll be updating this more regularly.
