He has devoted himself to classical and classical-pop music for the last two decades, becoming one of the most talented latin tenors, and the most versatile voice in Mexico. Mauro studied voice under Carolina Quintero, Charles Laila and Josefina Cabrera, some of the most prestigious teachers in Mexico and developed a style that elevated him to an international status. He has toured internationally from Mexico, Europe, The USA, Japan, South and Central America and the Caribbean. In 2010 Mauro represented Mexico at the" Viña del mar" international song Festival in Chile, the most highly regarded annual Latin American Music Event. Among his many achievements are performances for the presidents of Mexico in different events like one for the Mexican president Calderón and Sarkozy from France in the Presidential Palace in Mexico City, and in Rome at the college of Cardinals. He also performed at the Yakult Hall in Tokyo and in the Poliforum Cultural series in the Metropolitan Theatre in Mexico with the Acapulco Philharmonic Orchestra. Mauro was the feature Latin Tenor at the Ford Amphitheatre in Lis Angeles in Star Entertainment's presentation of a Tribute to composer Agustin Lara', and has had various appearances at the Hollywood Bowl, and landmark outdoor Aphitheatre in Hollywood, CA. Mauro has received many awards including First Prize for his interpretation of Serenade for Tenor, horn & strings of Benjamin Britten accompanied by Bellas Artes Chamber Orchestra in Mexico, First prize as part of the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of Radio XEW (first radio station in America), and the Agustin Lara prize (renowned Mexican composer) in Los Angeles. Mauro presently resides in Mexico City.
