In this video, you’ll learn: • How to pickle peppers step-by-step • The correct vinegar-to-water ratio for safety • How to pickle peppers using the water bath method • Proper headspace and processing time • How long water bath pickled peppers last This method works for jalapeños, banana peppers, sweet peppers, and more. 🌶️ Water Bath Pickled Peppers Recipe Ingredients • 2 lbs fresh peppers (jalapeños, banana peppers, sweet peppers, or a mix) • 2 cups 5% vinegar (white or apple cider) • 2 cups water • 2 Tbsp pickling salt (or kosher salt, no iodine) Optional: • 1 Tbsp sugar • Mustard seed (½ tsp per pint jar) • garlic cloves, onion slices, red pepper flakes ⚠️ Do not change the vinegar-to-water ratio for safety. •Process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes (pints). •Let jars cool 12–24 hours and check seals. ➡️ Best flavor after 1–2 weeks.
