MARRIOTT BASIN TRAIL & WENDY THOMPSON HUT | Spring Hike | Pemberton, British Columbia

Marriott Basin Trail and Wendy Thompson Hut are located in Pemberton, British Columbia. They offer stunning views of Mount Marriott, Cayoosh Mountain, Mt. Rohr, Mt. Chief Pascall and the Joffre group among others. This trail is open year-round and popular for hiking, skiing and snowshoeing. Parking is at Duffey Lake Road across a public works shed. Hike starts at Cayoosh creek FSR which is a 2-km hike to the official trailhead. In summer, 4wd or high clearance vehicles may be able to access the FSR and this could shorten the hiking distance*. At ~1.1 km hike-in from the trailhead, you will reach the Wendy Thompson Hut (WTH) / Mt. Rohr junction. Go left here to continue to Marriott Basin Trail and Wendy Thompson Hut. Right goes to Mt. Rohr / Rohr Lake which is another popular hike in the area (you may check my youtube video regarding this hike:    • Видео  ). The Wendy Thompson Hut is operated by Alpine Club of Canada and could accommodate 16 guests - reservation is required. It was built in memory of Wendy Ann Thompson - a hiker, ski patroller and paramedic who lost her life in a crash of a mercy flight in 1995.
