Here’s my January 2026 portfolio update and the first video in a proper monthly investing series. At the end of 2025, my portfolio looked great on paper. But almost immediately after recording that video, a chunk of those gains disappeared. Between Christmas and New Year, markets pulled back, nothing dramatic, but enough to remind me how quickly numbers can change. That’s exactly why I’m doing these updates monthly. 📊 January 2026 Snapshot Portfolio value: £17,321.94 New contributions: £800 Portfolio growth (excluding contributions): ~£120–£170 (~1%) January itself was fairly quiet, which is what most months look like when you’re investing long-term. In this video, I cover: What actually drove the movement (and what didn’t) How my core holdings performed after the year-end dip Why I didn’t make any changes to the main portfolio Why “doing nothing” is often the hardest and best decision This channel is about boring, disciplined investing, not reacting to headlines, not chasing performance, and not pretending every month is exciting. I’ll be posting these updates monthly, including the boring ones. #portfolioupdate #januaryportfolioupdate #investingjourney #longterminvesting #ukinvesting #stockmarketinvesting #passiveinvesting #indexfundsuk #etfinvesting #monthlyportfolioupdate #investingtransparency #personalfinanceuk #boringinvesting #compoundinvesting #stockportfolioupdate
