Backpacking Guatemala - A Couple of Travellers Episode 14

This is the penultimate episode of Andy & Steph's big adventure. Part 14 of the series brings them to Guatemala, beginning in the magnificent archaeological site of Tikal. After visiting the Mayan ruins they head south to Rio Dulce, experiencing the worlds only hot waterfall before exploring a pirate castle and derelict hotel. Back on the road they head to the colonial city of Antigua to climb the Acatenango volcano. Here they push themselves to reach the summit for an awe inspiring view of the exploding Volcan de Fuego (Fire Volcano). After recovering from the volcanic climb they experience a Guatemalan football match and even manage to get photographed for the local paper. The next destination on their trip of Guatemala brings them to Semuc Champey. Plenty of adventure in store here as they explore blue lagoons, swimming through darkened caves and go on a beer fuelled tubing trip down the river. Their final stop is a unique hostel called Free Cerverza (Free Beer) in the beautiful Lake Atitlan. Beers are a plenty at this eco-hostel before trying a cliff jump.
