This was a fun little exercise for me personally because one of my viewers asked in chat if I still knew how to use the Maschine sampler so I showed him how I flip samples now with Serato Sample and then showed him the old way I used to flip joints using the built-in Maschine sampler. I hope that this sheds a little insight on how hardware and software limitations can actually inspire you to be more creative with your chops and result in much more interesting and intricate flips. I definitely need to go back to the old way from time to time just to keep my mind sharp and not get complacent with the fact Serato Sample has become my go-to tool for banging out these beats quickly and cleanly.
