The rising number of cases and the possible crunch of beds in hospitals made the university authorities come forward and offer their huge academic building as a Covid care centre so that patients can be treated and made to have a comfortable experience as they battle the deadly virus. The state of the art building which normally sees classes being conducted has been converted into a 1000 bed Covid care centre.
